 राष्ट्रीय पंचायती राज दिवस- 24 अप्रैल


ग्राम पंचायत  स्थानीय स्वशासन की एक ऐसी संस्था है , जो गाँव के स्तर पर समस्याओं को सुलझाने और विकास कार्य करने की ज़िम्मेदार होती है 

इस दिवस को पहली बार 2010 में मनाया गया था

                                                           पंचायत का शाब्दिक अर्थ है - 

                        " पांच लोगों की सभा, जो पारंपरिक रूप से गाँव का प्रबंधन करते हैं

यह त्रिस्तरीय ढांचा है  
क) ग्राम पंचाय        ख) पंचायत समित                ग) जिला परिषद्

पंचायत के कार्य -
गाँव में शिक्षा, स्वच्छता, स्वास्थय, पीने का पानी, सड़क और कृषि की देखरेख करना

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar (1891–1956) was a pioneering social reformer, jurist, and the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. Known as "Babasaheb," he fought against untouchability, championed rights for women and laborers, became independent India’s first Law Minister, and was honored with the Bharat Ratna.
Here are ten key facts about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar for school students:
  1. Chief Architect of the Constitution: He was the chairman of the Drafting Committee, taking nearly 3 years to draft India's Constitution.
  2. Birth and Early Life: Born on April 14, 1891, in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, he faced severe caste-based discrimination, which inspired his fight for equality.
  3. Highest Educated Indian of His Generation: He held doctorates in Economics from Columbia University (USA) and the London School of Economics (UK), studying 64 subjects.
  4. First Law Minister: He served as independent India's first Minister of Law and Justice from 1947 to 1951.
  5. Champion of Women's Rights: He strongly advocated for equality, demanding equal rights for women regarding inheritance and marriage in the Hindu Code Bill.
  6. Influence on the RBI: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) was established in 1935 based on ideas and research presented by him.
  7. Labour Reformer: He reduced working hours for laborers in India from 14 hours to 8 hours a day.
  8. Conversion to Buddhism: In 1956, seeking a religion based on equality and liberty, he converted to Buddhism along with thousands of followers.
  9. Ashok Chakra on Flag: He is credited with the inclusion of the Ashok Chakra in the Indian National Flag.
  10. Bharat Ratna Awardee: He was posthumously honored with India's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, in 1990.
