Gandhi Jayanti and Birth Anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri
2nd October 2021 , will also be the 117th birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri. He is known as the 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisaan' Leader.The second Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri was born on 2nd October 1904, in Mughalsarai, Uttar Pradesh.

Facts about Lal Bahadur Shastri
1. Lal Bahadur Shastri grew up to become the second Prime Minister of the country.
2.He underlined the importance of increasing milk production and supply, and promoted White Revolution. Also he played a major role in increasing green revolution as well.
3. The word ‘Shastri’ in his name was the bachelor’s degree awarded to him by the Vidya Peeth but it got stuck in the minds of the people as part of his name.
4. Lal Bahadur is best recognised till date for his efforts during the Indo-Pak war of 1965.
5.He was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, and a memorial "Vijay Ghat" was built for him in Delhi.

बहुत अच्छा मंच। सूचना भी ज्ञान भी । एक बैठक में पढ़ने योग्य। किसी भी लेख या शेअर की गई सामग्री में पढ़ने या देखने में लगे समय की तुलना में मनन किए गए विचार का महत्त्व है। गांधी हों या शास्त्री ....ईमानदारी से सोचना है इन्हें और जितना हो सके अपनाना है।

ReplyDeleteToday, 2 October, is the International Day of Non-Violence, as well as the anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's 152nd birthday.
Gandhi was nominated for the #NobelPeacePrize a few days before he was murdered on 30 January 1948. Gandhi was nominated on 12 occasions for the Nobel Peace Prize.
