KNOW YOUR CONSTITUTION

The Constitution of India is the supreme law of IndiaThe document lays down the framework that demarcates fundamental political code, structure, procedures, powers, and duties of government institutions and sets out fundamental rightsdirective principles, and the duties of citizens. It is the longest written national constitution in the world.

It was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on 26 November 1949 and became effective on 26 January 1950. India celebrates its constitution on 26 January as Republic Day.The original 1950 constitution is preserved in a helium-filled case at the Parliament House in New Delhi. The words "secular" and "socialist" were added to the preamble by 42nd amendment act in 1976 during the Emergency.

Civil equality refers to persons in a society having the same status in terms of civil rights, freedom of expression, and equal access to various social goods and services. This denotes that law and order are equal for everybody, regardless of who they are.

The Finance Commission is a Constitutionally mandated body that is at the centre of fiscal federalism. Set up under Article 280 of the Constitution, its core responsibility is to evaluate the state of finances of the Union and State Governments.

  1. Conducting or launching such type of quizzes is a good practice.I am surprised to see that the standard or level of questions are same for class VI TO class XII.More efforts can be incorporated for different levels for different level of students.
