साहित्य में आत्मकथा (autobiography) किसी लेखक द्वारा अपने ही जीवन का वर्णन करने वाली कथा को कहते हैं।

आत्मकथा को पढ़ना चाहिए। आत्मकथा जीवनी की अपेक्षा वास्तविक होती है। जीवनी में ख़ुद के अनुभव और एहसासात नहीं होते ..महिमामंडन होता है। कभी कभी जीवनी लिखवाई जाती है । प्रायोजित होती है। जैसे बड़े बड़े लोगों ने कई अच्छे लेखक पकड़े और अपने या अपनों की जीवनी लिखवा ली। बदले में लेखक को आर्थिक या और फेवर दिए।
ReplyDeleteआत्मकथा ख़ुद की कहानी ख़ुद की जुबानी...हालाँकि आत्मकथा में भी बुनावट और बनावट होती है पर कुछ कुछ इशारे साफ साफ झलकते हैं।
भीष्म साहनी की "आज के अतीत " पढ़ सकते हैं। पाण्डेय बेंचन शर्मा "उग्र" की "अपनी ख़बर" अच्छी है। बच्चन ने बेहतरीन लिखा है ..क्या भूलूँ क्या याद करूँ।

Must read autobiography. Autobiography is more realistic than biography. Biography does not have its own experiences and realizations.. is glorified. Sometimes a biography is written. is sponsored. Like big people caught many good writers and got their biography written. In return, the author was given financial or other favors.
